Singing

The voice is the one instrument that we each possess and therefore singing lessons can be entered into without the expense of the purchase and upkeep of special equipment. Good voice care is essential however, and this will be assured by the teacher.

In general, age 7 is the earliest starting point for lessons. With regard to boys and the change in their voices that occurs during puberty, there is now a considerable body of opinion that upholds that a boy should continue singing during this transition, albeit with care and using appropriate material as advised by the teacher.
