Kent Youth Jazz Orchestra

Kent Youth Jazz Orchestra has a complement of approximately 18 players and rehearses fortnightly throughout the year, usually in Rainham. Players are aged from the early teens to the mid-twenties.

Frequent concerts are given throughout Kent and abroad. Jazz workshops are arranged to enable players to experience playing Big Band arrangements and to develop improvisational skills. These workshops are open to members of Kent Youth Jazz Orchestra and to non-members.

Applications: Would-be members should contact the Kent Youth Jazz Orchestra Manager in Maidstone and they will be invited to join with the orchestra in rehearsal. An assessment will then be made regarding their suitability for membership.
