Summer School: Wind Band

Wind Band Course

Grades 5 - 8 (Thursday 8th - Tuesday 13th July 2010) | Cost £320

Players are divided into two symphonic wind bands - Kent Youth Symphonic Band and the Concert Band. Sectional and full rehearsals alternate throughout the course. The repertoire is taken from major original works and arrangements for wind band. Students also sing in the course chorus.

Founders Wind Band Course

Grades 3 - 5 (Thursday 8th - Tuesday 13th July 2010) | Cost £320

Founders Wind Band provides an introduction for those players wishing to gain experience in a wind band. Students also sing in the course chorus.

Auditions?

No audition is necessary. Placement will be made after careful consideration of the instrumental teacher's recommendation, the pupil's experience and ability level, together with the need to ensure an instrumental balance. Each course culminates in a concert for parents.
