Parents and carers learn to relax with their babies and together enjoy musical games, songs and rhymes with a strong pulse.
This is a start to the musical journey incorporating tactile songs and games, circle dances and bouncing activities all encourage confidence between adult and infant and increase the babies' concentration. The emphasis in these sessions is on fun, enjoyment and stimulation. Activities are intended to engage all the senses and include vocal games, songs, exploration of basic instruments and objects and movement.
This is mainly just for children although parents can attend where necessary.
Confidence and communication skills are developed in these sessions, by encouraging children to act independently and creatively, as well as part of a group. Basic musical expressions, gestures and terminology are explored through singing and movement.
This is a children only class!
Singing becomes more of a focus in these sessions to advance language development and to prepare for KS1. Musical learning is expressed vocally and through body movement. Children are encouraged to perform in groups and on thier own to reinforce self confidence, concentration and sociability.
These are school based sessions ie after school and in PPA time This acts as an introduction to Key Stage Two Music Plus programme and is based around the same main principles: playing, vaocal/ instrumental learning, performace and composing.
