Kent Music is a music education charity committed to providing music opportunities to individuals, schools and groups across Kent, through individual lessons; whole class instrumental teaching; local and county-wide ensembles and choirs; teacher training; and through creating and supporting special music projects and events. Kent Music is also the lead partner for the Music Education Hub for Kent.

Musical Instrument Hire

Hiring a musical instrument as part of your tuition package is a very cost effective way of learning to play. We are also happy to provide instrument hire if you are not having your music lessons with us.

Local Music Groups

Through our network of Music Centres around the County we run 67 music groups which meet during term time as out of school activities.

County Music Groups

For gifted and talented young musicians we provide a portfolio of County Music Groups.  These include the Kent County Youth Orchestra, Kent Youth Wind Orchestra and County Choirs. These groups are conducted and tutored by leading musicians from the UK and abroad.

Kent Music Summer School

The Kent Music Summer School is an annual event at Benenden School near Cranbrook. The summer school happens over a three week period in July and provides music courses across the range of abilities. The courses that we offer include a rock band, wind orchestra, singing, recorder and jazz and are led by expert tutors.

Music Education Hub

We work closely with schools and other partners in Kent and further afield to deliver a wide range of both in and out-of-school programmes, designed to give children and young people the opportunity to sing, learn to play musical instruments and progress with their music making.
