Kent County Youth Orchestra: Easter 2014

The Kent County Youth Orchestra recently met for its 2014 Easter course from 15-19 April and performed a thrilling concert under the direction of conductor Kenneth Woods at Maidstone’s Mote Hall. The programme, which consisted of Vaughan Williams’ Symphony No.4 in F minor, Sibelius’ En Saga, and music from Grieg’s Peer Gynt, demonstrated the skill and versatility of our players and clearly met with the audience’s approval.

KCYO’s new Orchestra Manager, Roger Wilson said:
“The Easter course was my first as Manager of the orchestra and it lived up to my every expectation of what a great experience this should be.  Everyone on the course was so friendly.  The music was challenging but a real team effort made for an excellent concert at the Mote Hall in Maidstone.”
