Kent Music has an excellent reputation for providing County level music making. Our County Groups perform in over 40 County level concerts every year and are often invited to play at other events and occasions.

Kent Youth Choir is the principal senior youth choir and caters for advanced musicians aged 14 – 21 with sight-singing abilities

Kent County Youth Orchestra members are expected to play at a minimum of Grade 7/8 standard and is open to 13 – 21 year olds

The Youth String Ensemble provides young string players at a grade 2-6 standard the opportunity to rehearse and perform together as an ensemble, also developing core skills and musicianship through fun activities and exploring new and exciting repertoire.

The Youth Wind Ensemble is for all young woodwind, brass and percussion players of a grade 2-6 standard, providing the opportunity to come together for focused full and sectional rehearsals with specialist tutors and experienced conductors. Members ages range from 12-18.

Kent County Junior Choir and Kent County Junior Singers
Celebrating 70 years in 2017, Kent Music Summer School is a series of exciting residential music courses for young musicians aged 8 – 19, providing the opportunity to join in concentrated ensemble playing and singing and is held each July at the beautiful Benenden School near Cranbrook.
