Kent County Youth Orchestra has consistently been acclaimed at home and abroad for its outstanding performances and today it is a key part of Kent Music’s provision for the gifted and talented young musicians of Kent. The orchestra meets three times a year on residential courses during holiday periods for concentrated training with tutors and conductors of national and international standing.
Kent County Youth Orchestra meet this Spring for a 5 day residential course from 4th – 8th April at Tonbridge School, culminating in a public concert on 8th April 2017 at Tonbridge School Chapel, 7.30pm.
Kent County Youth Orchestra consists of approximately one hundred players (ages 13-21) and was founded to provide gifted young musicians in Kent the opportunity to develop their skills and gain performing experience. The orchestra meets regularly on courses and the young players work with professional tutors from leading national orchestras and conservatoires and leading professional conductors. The orchestra has consistently been acclaimed at home and abroad for its outstanding performances and today it is a key part of Kent Music’s provision for the gifted and talented young musicians of Kent.
