On Thursday 27th October there was literally a glow of excitement as the musicians performing at the Orchestra ONE concert approached the stage playing Boomwhackers and wearing glow bands in the darkened venue! This opening number set the stage for an innovative interpretation of the theme of ‘Colour’, all the music having being created over just four days.

The repertoire included pieces from our newest and youngest participants and from those who have been with us from the outset in 2011.

Drawing together different styles and genres Orchestra ONE’s performance included spoken word and the finale piece closed with a beautiful solo from a young guitarist, just 8 years old!
