Free Singing Day a Huge Success!

The Kent County Junior Singers (for primary aged children) and the Kent County Junior Choir (for secondary aged children) held their first Singing Day on Saturday 20th June and were joined by lots of excited young singers from across the county for a fun day of singing together.

The visitors got to experience rehearsals and free time with the choirs and enjoyed an informal concert to a large audience at the end of the day for parents and friends. The choirs performed a number of songs demonstrating the outstanding standard reached in just a few hours!

With such high ability across the county we hope that many of the students who joined the choirs for the day take advantage of some of the other opportunities on offer, such as the Junior Singing course at Benenden (25th – 27th July). There is also the opportunity to audition for the choirs at many points throughout the year.

As the day was so successful we look forward to holding another ‘Free Singing Day’ in the next academic year. Anyone interested in the Junior Choirs should contact the choirs’ administrator Valerie Cordina (vcordina@kent-music.com) for more information.
