Join your County Choirs: Junior try-outs and Senior auditions

Kent County Choirs are looking for new members at both Junior (aged 8-14) and Senior (aged 14-21) levels. This is a great opportunity for any keen singer to join a group, make new friends and be tutored by some of Kent’s best singing teachers.

The music is fun and varied, and recent repertoire has included Don’t Stop Believing, Losing You from Toy Story, Sitting on the Dock of the Bay, California Dreaming and songs from Into the Woods, Pentatonix, Holst and Tippett.

Junior Choirs Try-out Days

11th March at New Line Learning, Maidstone

Come along to one of the Junior Choirs‘ try-out days and enjoy singing in a new group of friends – even bring a friend with you! Junior choirs (for ages 8-14) meet every month on a Saturday at New Line Learning in Maidstone and perform at concerts every term. The rehearsal/try-out days run from 9.45am to 3.30pm and you should bring your own packed lunch. To join, there will be an informal audition, so please just turn up or contact County Ensembles Coordinator, Valerie Cordina at vcordina@kent-music.com if you have any questions.

Senior Choirs Auditions

11th March at New Line Learning, Maidstone

For 14-21 year olds, the Kent Youth Singers and Kent Youth Choir meet for three-day residential courses in each major holiday and perform at termly concerts across the county. Entry to the choirs is by audition, which can be arranged at any time with the County Ensembles Coordinator, Valerie Cordina – more details here.

Audition slots are available on the dates above, between 11am and 3pm – please contact Valerie Cordina at vcordina@kent-music.com to arrange a time and talk through requirements. Please note that bursaries are available to those who meet requirements, in order to cover residential course costs.
