Kent Music Summer School: 2014

July 2014 saw another great year at the Kent Music Summer School held at Benenden School!

Now in its 67th year the Summer School attracted hundreds of students through its doors over a three week period. The Summer School has introduced new courses over the last couple of years to cater for a wider range of musical interests including the hugely popular Musical Theatre Course. Students from as young as 8 and up to 18 had the experience this year of working with professional tutors including members of the Philharmonia Orchestra, musicians from West End Shows and sessions with visiting conductors including Scott Farrell, Director Of Music from Rochester Cathedral. All eight courses on offer were popular again this year and we are already planning for 2015. The bonus of outstanding weather coupled with amazing facilities allowed the Summer School to notch up another outstanding year in its impressive history. For many the Summer School has become an annual event not to be missed and is attracting students from all parts of Kent and beyond.

Application forms for 2015 are now available to download online, so book your 2015 place early!

What the students thought…

It’s amazing and I could not be more grateful for the opportunities it’s given me, or the people I’ve met who have helped me grow as a person not just a musician!

I love coming to Benenden so much, it really is one of the highlights of my year!

I really enjoyed it, it is a wonderful experience and I’m looking forward to next year.
