Kent Schools Orchestra: Summer 2015

The last weekend of May saw young string players from the county meet for the Kent Schools Orchestra course as directed by Lori Norriss. Despite a weekend of mixed weather the ensemble worked hard throughout and performed with beaming smiles in the concert on the last day. The course explored ensemble and musicianship skills and Lori, who has played frequently with the London Symphony Orchestra, provided the enthusiastic students with fascinating technical advice to help enhance their instrumental skills.

KSO will meet again in the last week of October. It’s a fantastic musical experience for string players between grade 3 and 6 standard. If you or someone you know would like to know more then please contact Penny Miller at Kent Music for more information (pmiller@kent-music.com).
