Terms and conditions for musical instrument hire

1. The hire of musical instruments is subject to availability.  A full list of musical instruments available for hire may be obtained from the Instrument Department.
2. By signing this Agreement you are taking responsibility for loss or damage to any musical instruments hired under this Agreement.  Kent Music will supply string instruments with a set of strings.  Strings broken in the first semester will be replaced free of charge.  Kent Music will re-hair bows free of charge as a result of fair wear and tear.  Single reeded instruments (such as clarinets and saxophones) will be supplied with one reed and you agree to purchase all reeds thereafter. Double reeded instruments (such as bassoons and oboes) will not be supplied with reeds and you will have to purchase all reeds.
3. In the event that an instrument needs repairing, please contact the Instrument Department.  Kent Music does not take responsibility for repairs that are not carried out through Kent Music and reserves the right to refer the instrument to our own repairers and charge you if further repairs are necessary.
4. Once the instrument is no longer required it must be returned to Kent Music at the address on this agreement.  If lessons are discontinued and you wish to continue hiring a musical instrument, the instrument hire charge will be increased to the charge for students who do not have lessons with Kent Music.
