Kent Music tuition

Kent Music provides instrumental and vocal tuition in two ways: directly to students or directly to education establishments:

Kent Music tuition

For over 60 years Kent Music has been providing expert instrumental and vocal tuition to children, young people and adults in Kent.  Our teachers are carefully selected, have full CRB checks and are offered regular professional development opportunities for the improvement of their skills.  Our teachers are also regularly assessed for quality.

Kent Music provides an administration service which marries up teaching requests with teachers, organises teachers’ timetables, coordinates the teaching venue, collects payment from parents and/or students, pays the teachers and so forth.  We can also advise you on the best way for your child to progress with their music.  This might involve joining a Special Project or Music Centre ensemble, moving from group tuition to individual tuition or auditioning for a County level ensemble.

Our advice to parents with children who want to learn an instrument or to sing for the first time is, if possible, to start them in groups.  Academic research carried out over many years has consistently shown that students who learn in groups progress far more rapidly and develop more fully as all-round musicians.
