What happens when your wildest dreams – or darkest nightmares – come to life through music? Join us this half term for Orchestra ONE Project 37: Dreams & Nightmares, a four-day musical adventure.
You’ll create brand new music from scratch, inspired by the strange, surreal, and spectacular things our minds conjure up when we sleep.

We welcome young music-makers of all kinds – singers, instrumentalists, and those into music tech. Whether you’ve been playing for years or you’re just starting out, this is your space to experiment, explore new sounds and shape something original as part of a creative team.
Singers are especially encouraged to join us for this project – and if you usually play an instrument but fancy giving singing a go, this is a great place to try it out.
Our team of expert tutors cover every section – from strings, brass and woodwind to keys, tech, vocals and more – so you’ll get focused support whatever your musical background.

What To Expect:
- Work with talented tutors to create and perform an original piece of music
- Explore contrasting moods, melodies and soundscapes – from dreamy calm to chaotic nightmares
- Experiment with your voice or instrument in new and unexpected ways
- Build your confidence, creativity and collaborative skills
- Be part of an open, supportive group where everyone’s ideas are welcome
- No need to read music – just bring your ideas, energy, and enthusiasm
Places are limited – apply now to be part of the dream.

Who can join Orchestra ONE?
We welcome all musicians aged 11-18 who play any instrument or sing in any genre. Beginners should have at least one school term of experience with their instrument. There are no restrictions on instruments or preferred genres. Vocalists don’t need any prior experience.
Do I need to audition?
No auditions needed! As long as you are the right age and grade level, you are welcome on the course.
What do I need to bring?
Wherever possible, participants will need to bring their own instruments along to the project including amplifiers, leads and instrument stands.
Do let us know if you haven’t got your own supplies – we may be able to help out. Please get in touch by emailing countygroups@kent-music.com if this is the case.
