Job summary
Kent Music is seeking a creative, organised and proactive individual to join us as a Communications Lead. This is a fixed-term role covering a period of maternity leave. The role is based at our Ashford office, with opportunities for hybrid working as well as the chance to visit our activities across Kent & Medway.
You will play a key role in raising the profile of Kent Music and ensuring our work reaches the right audiences in the right way.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of an established communications function, maintain momentum across our channels and campaigns, and make a meaningful impact on awareness of and access to music education.
About the role
This is more than a communications role. You will help bring our work to life, ensuring our opportunities and messages reach the right audiences and reflect our values. In this role, you will:
- Lead promotional activity across Kent Music, supporting campaigns, recruitment and audience engagement
- Create engaging, accessible content across digital and print platforms
- Manage and develop our website, social media channels and newsletters
- Oversee the design and production of marketing materials
- Maintain and champion Kent Music’s brand and voice across the organisation
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong communication and copywriting skills
- Experience managing digital platforms, including websites and social media
- Confidence in creating visual content for print and digital
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive approach, with the ability to respond to emerging opportunities and challenges
- An interest in music education or the arts
