This course is for young instrumentalists who are just starting out.

If you’ve taken part in whole-class instrumental lessons at primary school, or have been learning for a short time and haven’t yet played in an ensemble, Music Explorers is a great place to begin.

You’ll play as part of a multi-instrument ensemble, making music with others of a similar age and experience. Along the way, you’ll build confidence and develop listening and teamwork skills through shared music-making.

The course ends with a relaxed concert for family and friends.  This is a 2 day residential course.

Music Explorers can be a starting point for other courses including Summer Strings, Wind Band, Piano, Symphony Orchestra or Jazz

Please contact kmss@kent-music.com when you make your application if you would like to hire an instrument for this course.

All staff working with children and young people hold a current enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and take part in regular safeguarding and child protection training.

Boy playing the trumpet, brass lessons

My children had an incredible weekend… they loved playing as part of an ensemble, really enjoyed the social side of things and it
was clear to me what a confidence boost the concert was for them all as young musicians.
