This course is for pianists in Year 7 and above, working at around Grades 4–6 or higher. It’s designed for those who want to develop their playing and share music with others in a supportive setting.
You’ll take part in group workshops, guided sessions and individual practice time. The focus is on technique, performance skills and musical interpretation.
You’ll also have opportunities to share your progress and learn from other pianists.
You’re encouraged to bring a piece you’re currently working on, especially one that’s nearly ready to perform. The course ends with an informal performance where you’ll share what you’ve learned. Places are limited, so early booking is recommended.
For some pianists, this course can lead on to creative courses such as Jazz or Song Writing. This is a 2 day residential course.
All staff working with children and young people hold a current enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and take part in regular safeguarding and child protection training.
