Come and Sing! February 2023

Come and Sing! is a singing course for young singers aged 13 – 18 taking place in Ashford, Kent for two days in February half term 2023.

Explore and expand your skills with a wide range of repertoire under the guidance of expert tutors. Over the two-day course you’ll practise singing as an ensemble in unison, two and four part harmonies. Participants will gain confidence in ensemble singing, expand their aural skills and develop core musicianship further.

You don’t need to have any experience, and there’s no need to audition – just come along with a love for singing! Join us for an exciting two days of learning with a fun group of young people from across Kent, who love singing just as much as you do.

The course is open to any singers aged 13 – 18 and costs £30 per attendee for both days of the course.

KYC is for singers covering the full vocal range in year 9 and above (maximum age 21). Although sight singing is not a pre-requisite, it is a skill that each member acquires and develops over time. The choir performs advanced choral music from a large variety of genres and periods. The group meets at both residential and non-residential courses in the three main school holiday periods, offering the opportunity to study and rehearse music in a focused and creative environment.
