Exploring composition with KS3 pupils can often be challenging. Passing Notes Education are leading this session to give you ideas and tips!
Composition plays an integral role in developing rounded musicianship skills as well as providing pupils with opportunities for self-expression and practical application of the musical elements.
Passing Notes Education are joining with Kent Music to help secondary teachers to develop their knowledge and understanding of composition and how it can be used in music curriculums successfully to provide students with opportunities to develop their compositional skills within a broad and balanced curriculum.
For schools who are engaging with the Model Music Curriculum that was published by the DfE in March 2021 this session will provide links to the guidance and support you to explore this guidance within the context of your school.
This session is designed to support secondary school music teachers or heads of department. It is suitable for NQTs and trainees.
