Find out more about what Music Therapy is and techniques to use in your music teaching.
Chiltern is an award winning, not-for-profit organisation that provides music therapy and community music to people of all ages across the UK.
Formed in July 2011 as a direct need for Music Therapy provision within the local area, our services have grown to cover regions across the UK. They are dedicated to providing high quality, evidence-based Music Therapy services in every setting, including specialist Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT), MATADOC and Neonatal Music Therapy services.
The Chiltern Music Therapy team has a thorough understanding of psychodynamic, medical, behavioural and person-centred approaches, meaning we are flexible in our approach and can meet the needs of each setting or client we work with.
Elizabeth Nightingale will be coming to talk to us about Music Therapy and the work that they do. There will be opportunities to learn techniques to use when working with children within special schools and in mainstream environments.
