This meeting is open to any staff taking part in 2019’s Music@Malling Festival, including primary, secondary and peripatetic teachers. The session will cover general information about the events of the festival, but mainly focus on how to develop composition within schools.
Jason Rowland will be leading a session for primary school teachers, providing ideas for composition tasks in KS2 as well as helping teachers to prepare their students for the Festival. Meanwhile, Judith Robinson from Sound and Music will be leading secondary teachers in reviewing schemes of work and considering what composition skills need to be developed throughout KS3, in order to prepare students for assessed composition tasks in KS4 and KS5.
