Take a flight of fantasy this summer…

Answer this call to adventure for the quest of a lifetime, heroes! This summer the veil will open as we explore all things fantasy for Orchestra ONE’s 30th project.

Working with talented troupe of tutors from across the realm, you’ll create brand-new music inspired by the world of high fantasy. No matter whether you’re a singer or instrumentalist, working together in fellowship your own interests, styles and experience will inform the music you make.

You’ll perform your legendary piece for friends and family in the auditorium of the beautiful Maidstone Grammar School at 6pm on the final day, August 11th.

From heroes to halflings, magic to mercenaries, dungeons to dragons and everything in between, you’ll form a band of bards like no other to create truly epic music this August.

Applications have now closed. If you are still keen to join our musical fellowship, please contact Maria Dorey on mdorey@kent-music.com before 5th August 2022.

We welcome all musicians ages 11-18 who play any instrument or sing in any genre to join the ensemble.

If you’re a vocalist, no prior experience is required!

We ask that beginners can play at least three notes or three chords, but there is no restriction on instruments or preferred genres.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a classical harpist, a ska trumpeter, a spoken word poet, beatboxer, DJ, folk guitarist or something else entirely – you’re all welcome to add your special touch to the ensemble.

Every O1 project offers brand new experiences, and you don’t need to have taken part before to have a brilliant experience with O1.

Wherever possible, participants will need to bring their own instruments along to the project, including amplifiers, leads and stands.

Do let us know if you haven’t got your own supplies – we may be able to help out. Please get in touch by emailing musiccentres@kent-music.com if this is the case.

One of the best parts of an O1 course is getting to work closely with specialist tutors and music leads throughout the course. Meet the wise wizards of Project 30 below!
