Beginner Ensemble

This brand new course is open to complete beginners wishing to build their musical skills and try out brass, woodwind and percussion instruments for the very first time!

The course will run from November 2022 until the end of the summer term in 2023, by which time each student will have had the chance to try out both brass and woodwind instruments as well as learning fun rhythms and beat-keeping skills in the percussion section.

Instruments for the course will be provided free of charge for the duration for members! Members will be welcome to take instruments home to practice.

The ensemble will be led by Florence Glen for percussion, Jack Perry-Cockings for woodwind and Colin Reid for brass, with the instrument types being the focus at different times during the course.

Applications are now open. We look forward to welcoming new starters from 2nd November onwards.

Music Centre membership is fantastic value from only £4.50 a week, with some great benefits!

As a member you will have access to all ensembles at our Music Centres across Kent, so you can join as many as you wish, no matter which centre you initially signed up at.

Tuition is an additional charge, but you will receive a 10% discount on your membership if you wish to also wish to join an ensemble at a Music Centre.
