Make a big noise!
Thanet Brass Band is the perfect place for young players and adults who are beginners or at an intermediate level (up to grade 4). Each week, the group will dive into classic brass band repertoire, from marches and fanfares to film themes and pop tunes. It’s a perfect starting point to get excited about brass band music.
Players will learn how to blend their sound, follow a conductor, and perform as part of a real band, all in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere.
We offer plenty of opportunities to grow and progress on your musical journey. It’s a great place to build confidence, improve technique, and enjoy brass music!

Meet your tutor
The Thanet Brass Band is led by Natalie Hall, an accomplished brass musician and experienced educator.
A former member of the Kent Youth Wind Orchestra, Kent Youth Orchestra, and the National Youth Wind Orchestra, Natalie studied trumpet performance in Manchester before completing her PGCE. She has since taught brass and led ensembles across the UK and abroad, including two years as Head of Music at an international school in Africa.
Now based in Broadstairs, Natalie teaches brass in schools across East Kent and continues to inspire young musicians through her passion for brass banding and music education.
