Get moving and drumming to the funky beat! Explore the different music rhythms from around the world and join in your own version of Stomp in this West Kent percussion course. This ensembles takes place at our West Kent Music Centre Sevenoaks campus.
The ensemble is ideal for musicians of all levels, whether you’re brand new or an experienced player looking to rediscover and improve your musical rhythm,
Members will improvise and explore rhythm and percussion instruments, play by ear, and explore diverse beats. You’ll experiment with a variety of percussion instruments including cajon and cymbals, and get your ear working to the rhythm.
There will be several informal performance opportunities throughout the year. Most importantly, you’ll explore percussion in a fun, supportive and engaging environment.

You can join this group at any time; there are no auditions, and it is suitable for beginner level and above, ages 8 to 14. If you’d like more information or to apply to join this group, please use the buttons below.
To apply for this ensemble, please click ‘Apply Now’ below. You’ll be taken to the ensemble page on our online course platform where you can add this course to your basket. Once you’ve selected your chosen course, go to your basket to complete your application. You will then be prompted to log into your Kent Music online customer account.

Membership fee
You can join our network of Local Music Groups and Music Centres by paying a membership fee each term. This gives you access to all ensembles and groups at our centres across Kent and Medway.
September 2023 – July 2024: Child £50 | Adult £70
Fees are invoiced termly (3 terms per year) and can be paid by installments on request immediately following receipt of your invoice. Invoices will be sent at the beginning of each term and are payable by return.
