Saturday 28 July – Monday 30 July 2018
This course provides the opportunity for participants to work individually and collaboratively to develop their songwriting skills under the guidance of music recording professionals. The focus is on how contemporary and modern songs are structured and put together and what makes them successful. Support and advice will be given to help understand lyric writing and arrangement techniques; this will incorporate “live” instruments giving course members the freedom to experiment with different musical textures and voicings.
All of our staff who work with children and young people have a current enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure & Barring Service and we run a programme of regular child protection training for our teachers.
Level: No songwriting experience required
Fee: £180 – 75% bursaries are available upon meeting criteria. Visit the Financial Assistance page for more information.
