Wind Band Course

Thursday 12 July – Tuesday 17 July 2018

During this course woodwind, brass and percussion players will experience playing alongside others in large ensembles under the expert guidance of experienced wind band professionals. Participants are placed in one of two wind bands depending on their level of experience and ability. During sectional and full rehearsals, players are introduced to a broad range of music including arrangements of well-known pieces and more established wind band repertoire.

They have the opportunity to develop their technique and enhance their ensemble playing skills in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. All course members come together for vocal sessions; wind band and vocal items will be performed to family and friends at the end of course.

All of our staff who work with children and young people have a current enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure & Barring Service and we run a programme of regular child protection training for our teachers.

Level: Grades 2-8 or equivalent

Fee: £360 – 75% bursaries are available upon meeting criteria. Visit the Financial Assistance page for more information.
