Online Music Centre

Just because we can’t meet in person doesn’t mean we can’t make music! For the first half of the 2020 Autumn term, we are offering an exclusive Online Music Centre.

Featuring online courses for all ages, from beginner through to advanced players, we are offering a wide range of opportunities this autumn. Running until half term, the courses will include orchestral groups, instrument-specific ensembles, an online Music Lab, and a wide variety of favourites from our in-person music centres. Full details on each course can be found below.

As part of our online offering this autumn, we are also providing online instrumental and vocal tuition to existing and new students in the autumn term this year following incredibly positive feedback from our online teaching in the summer term of 2020.  You can find out more about tuition, including prices, availability, and how to apply on our Music Lessons page.

We look forward to making music with you this autumn!

Who can attend the courses?

The Online Music Centre is available to all musicians in Kent, UK, who meet the age and ability levels of the courses on offer.

How will the courses be delivered?

All courses will be run virtually on Zoom, led by our fully trained and DBS checked tutors. The classes will also be attended and monitored by DBS-checked admin staff from Kent Music to ensure your safety and security throughout.

How much does it cost?

We are offering this half term of online Music Centre membership at a reduced rate. As a member you will have access to all the online courses, so you can join as many as you wish!

Young person (aged 18 and under): £15 membership per person

Adults (aged 19 and above): £20 membership per person

Please note that these membership fees cover the first half of the Autumn term, so membership will apply until 25th October 2020.

How do I sign up?

It’s easy! You just need to sign up via the link below. You’ll be taken to our online course platform where you can sign up for Online Music Centre membership alongside other services such as music lessons and instrument hire. Then, simply choose your course and check out. Once you’ve completed checkout, you’ll be sent further information on your course/s.

Please keep in mind that signing up for a course doesn’t guarantee your space on it. Spaces are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, and Kent Music reserves the right to discontinue any online ensemble at any time. However, please be assured that we will keep you informed of all updates.

I haven’t been a member of a Music Centre before – can I join?

If you are a resident of Kent, UK, then absolutely! We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone who’s keen to make music this autumn.

We will be offering priority booking to existing members of the ensembles until 7th September, however we’d encourage you to apply in the meantime anyway, as spaces are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis from the 7th.

I’m already a member of one or more of the groups here – will I get a place?

Fantastic – we’re so glad to see you! While we can’t guarantee your place, existing members of each group will have priority booking for ensembles, and we’ll get in touch with you directly about how to do this.

From 7th September, however, booking for ensembles will be open to anyone who wants to join, whether they’re previous members or not.

I have a question!

Please contact our helpful team on musiccentres@kent-music.com with any questions, and we’ll respond as soon as we can.
