Marina Karagianni
Marina Karagianni is a mezzo-soprano and also holds a degree as an Early Years teacher. She has enjoyed teaching singing to people of all ages and abilities for nearly two decades.
Marina initially studied the classical guitar before gaining a Conservatoire Diploma in Singing in Greece and an MA in Vocal Performance from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge. She has studied singing with tenor Ryland Davies and appeared in opera and concert both as a soloist and chorus member.
As an active performer, Marina is particularly interested in baroque opera, cross-genre music and folk-songs. Her other main interest is composition and she has written many songs, choral pieces and arrangements. During 2022-2024 Marina was an LSO Soundhub associate composer.
