Una Shea
I am a creative educator with a passion for child-centered education spanning over ten years.
Having started my violin studies in early childhood, I hold a first class degree from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Violin Performance and a MA in Music Psychology from the University of Sheffield.
Alongside this, I am a certified Montessori teacher for ages 0-3, as well as a certified Suzuki violin teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. While teaching, I prioritize finding the joy in making music. I aim to meet every student where they are both individually and musically, to find the best fit to achieve their goals in our lessons.
I am an avid supporter of life long learning, and am dedicated to continue to grow my knowledge through professional development opportunities as well as personal reflection of my week-to-week teaching practice.
Over my time as a musician, I have taken part in numerous orchestras and ensemble tours including the Vienna Youth Symphony Orchestra, as well as the National Youth Orchestra of Wales.
Outside of my instrumental teaching, I am a creative workshop facilitator and an avid crafter.
