Hundreds of Children make Noisy Notes with Kent Music in Margate

On Sunday 29 January, Kent Music was lucky enough to be invited to take part in a fantastic family-friendly event, Noisy Notes, at the Winter Gardens in Margate. From 2.30pm, the Orion Orchestra performed a programme of exciting music including the themes from Star Wars, The Simpsons, Spongebob Squarepants and the Muppets, and songs from Disney’s Aladdin, The Lion King and Frozen, alongside more classical numbers from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and Bizet’s Carmen. With Sue Perkins conducting and with performances from singers, dancers and some of TV’s best-loved characters including Shrek, Batman and Frozen’s Elsa and Anna, it was the perfect recipe for success to entertain the crowd.

Children were invited to try out instruments from 1pm. Tutors from Kent Music came armed with trumpets, trombones, guitars, violins and ukuleles, whilst specialist suppliers Top Wind and Howarth of London let children try flutes, clarinets, oboes and bassoons.
