Kent County Youth Orchestra: Summer 2016
The Kent County Youth Orchestra held a fantastic summer course at Ashford School and saw some new players join the ensemble for the first time. As well as a full schedule of sectionals and orchestral rehearsals, the students found the time to arrange an evening informal concert for themselves, and to attend many social events organised by the elected social representatives.
KCYO performed at the Royal Tunbridge Wells Assembly Hall Theatre on 27th August, the Orchestra, conducted by Caroline Hobbs-Smith played an exciting programme including Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and Copland’s Billy the Kid.
