Kent Schools Orchestra: Spring 2015

Last weekend Kent Schools Orchestra met for the 2015 Spring course at Ashford School. There were many familiar faces on the first day greeting their orchestra colleagues like long lost friends and of course we welcomed some new and excited young musicians too. The weekend bought a number of weather systems including rain, snow and more rain though our orchestra was not deterred and under the inspirational leadership of Lori Norriss they worked hard to prepare a varied programme of classics and film favourites in readiness for an excellent performance at the end of course concert. There were violas to try out and a feature piece for the cello section too! There were also many enquiries about a summer half term course. If you are interested in joining the orchestra and have reached a standard between grade 3 and 6 then please get in touch – we’d like to hear from you!

It was a fun chance to improve my skills

I had an amazing time!

The conductor was absolutely brilliant, thank you so much!
