Music CORE Launch their Platform for young musicians
Wednesday 29 May 2013 saw five youth bands take to the stage to perform at the first ever Platform event organised by the Music CORE panel. The concert held at The Forum, Tunbridge Wells was an enormous success. The audience was much greater in numbers than expected with over 135 young people attending, all very much enjoying the night. Supervised by their Mentor Mike Fagg and Project Manager Sophie Plumb, the panel members took on specific roles at the event including running the box office, non-alcoholic bar, sound desk and band liaison.
Off the back of this achievement the Music CORE will now meet four more times before the end of the July with the emphasis on planning their next event and contributing the production of rock workshops in the new academic year.
