Tunbridge Wells Primary Schools Orchestra
Over 100 Tunbridge Wells Primary School Children came together on 8 June to play in a massed schools orchestra at St Johns Primary School in Tunbridge Wells.
In total, 11 schools from Tunbridge Wells and children from the Kent Music Tunbridge Wells Music Centre took part in a workshop and concert to parents. The young musicians performed the William Tell Overture, the James Bond Theme and A Night on the Bare Mountain by Mussorgsky. The last piece is one of the BBC’s Ten Pieces works and the event has been registered with BBC Music Day.
The event was organised by a Tunbridge Wells cluster group of music teachers and supported by Kent Music and the Royal Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra.
