Kent Music is seeking an experienced and dynamic music educator to take on the role of Area Manager, to work across the areas of Dartford and Gravesham. This is an exciting time to join this large Music Education Hub as we continue to grow and develop a more diverse musical offer, working with schools, partners and communities.

This opportunity would be ideal for an individual who is interested in working for Music Education hubs both now and in the future, and would be suitable for someone who has gained a range of transferable skills and experiences whilst working across similar professions e.g. teaching, community and charitable arts organisations, and peripatetic teaching.

Ensemble Leader for Junior Percussion at Medway Towns Music Centre

Grade 2 (£29.22p/h) or Grade 3 (£30.97p/h) (inclusive of holiday pay), 30 weeks per year plus a contributory pension scheme

Saturday mornings, 10am-10:40am (30 weeks term time only)

We are looking to recruit a well-rounded inspirational ensemble leader to deliver the Junior Percussion ensemble sessions at Medway Towns Music Centre. There may be further opportunities to lead additional ensembles at this Centre and other Kent Music locations across the county. The successful candidate will have the ability to adapt and deliver ensembles to a high standard, recruit new pupils on an ongoing basis and develop opportunities for progression, in collaboration with Area and Centre Managers.

If you enjoy working with young people and perhaps have a background in Youth Work, Education or the Arts this could be the idea position for you!  We are seeking a highly motivated and approachable Pastoral Support Worker to support young people attending our Music Centres and Labs and carry out reception duties.

Our Music Centres and Labs are creative spaces for young people aged 8 -19 and adults offering an opportunity to take part in a variety of music-making activities and to pursue a range of musical interests.
