Join us this October half term for Orchestra ONE Project 40. Orchestra ONE – the Orchestra of New Experiences – is a large ensemble for young musicians between the ages of 11 and 18. Members of Orchestra ONE come from a wide range of musical backgrounds and create their own original music during each project. Every project offers a new experience influenced by changing themes, collaborations and specialist tutor teams but most importantly by the young musicians’ own interests, styles and instrumentation.
Following on from our successful student led O1 in a day in May, this October half term, you will be guided by our young leaders, all of whom are long-standing participants of Orchestra ONE. Our O1 tutors will also be on hand to support the creativity process throughout the project.
We welcome young music-makers of all kinds, including singers, instrumentalists, and those into music tech. Bring along your energy, curiosity, and willingness to try something new. If you usually play an instrument but fancy giving singing a go, this is a brilliant place to try it out.

Who can join Orchestra ONE?
We welcome all musicians aged 11-18 who play any instrument or sing in any genre. There are no restrictions on instruments or preferred genres. Instrumentalists should be playing at Grade 1 or above, vocalists don’t need any prior experience.
Do I need to audition?
No auditions needed! As long as you are the right age and grade level, you are welcome on the course.
What do I need to bring?
Wherever possible, participants will need to bring their own instruments along to the project including amplifiers, leads and instrument stands.
