Lessons
Kent Music has teachers in 200+ schools across Kent offering lessons in the school day, plus a network of music centres which offers lessons in the evening and on Saturdays. In lessons you will get teaching tailored to your individual needs and ambitions – you will progress from learning the basics of playing the instrument to playing tunes and pieces and composing your own music. You will also be encouraged to play in groups to develop your skills and musicianship further.
Piano and Keyboard Groups
Most of our music centres offer groups suitable for piano students, from Music Explorers (beginners to grade 2) to Music Labs where you can get really creative! Groups are also available in half terms and at the Kent Music Summer School.
Some piano students also learn orchestral percussion where their piano skills enable them to more easily played tuned percussion such as the marimba and glockenspiel. This opens up opportunities to play in wind bands and orchestras.
