Sylvia Villa

With over 7 years of experience teaching piano lessons, I am a huge advocate for the value of music education as a way to build confidence and creativity in young people. Trained in Music Composition at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, I enjoy building creative exercises into my lessons, often taking inspiration from the late music practitioner, Carola Grindea. Nevertheless, I am flexible in my approach, remaining guiding by the needs and wants of the students, whether they're working towards graded ABRSM exams, or playing for pleasure. When it comes to music composition, I am skilled in writing both instrumental and electroacoustic music, orchestration, engraving (using Sibelius), and audio production (using Ableton Live). I love to create my own projects or collaborate with people from a variety of creative disciplines.
