West Kent Music Explorers is open to all types of instrumentalists and will introduce essential ensemble skills as well as creative musical skill-building activities, improvisation and singing.
Most importantly it will be fun, allowing participants to make new friends and explore their musical interests!
This group is the ideal next step for those who have been learning their instrument for a year or more, either through whole class, small group or individual tuition, or who are self-taught, and between beginner and Grade 2/3 standard (or equivalent).
All instruments welcome.

How do I join?
You can join this group at any time; there are no auditions, and it is suitable for beginner (at least 5 notes/chords) to Grade 4 level, ages 8 and above. If you’d like more information or to apply to join this group, please use the buttons below.
To apply for this ensemble, please click ‘Apply Now’ below. You’ll be taken to the ensemble page on our online course platform where you can add this course to your basket. Once you’ve selected your chosen course, go to your basket to complete your application. You will then be prompted to log into your Kent Music online customer account.
If you don’t have an online customer account, then don’t worry – you can still easily apply at the ‘Apply Here’ button. You’ll be taken through some simple steps to create an account and your application will be processed the same as someone with an existing account.
After your application is complete, you’ll be sent further information about your ensemble to confirm.
Membership fee
You can join our network of Local Music Groups and Music Centres by paying a membership fee each term. This gives you access to all ensembles and groups at our centres across Kent and Medway.
September 2023 – July 2024: Child £50 | Adult £70
Fees are invoiced termly (3 terms per year) and can be paid by installments on request immediately following receipt of your invoice. Invoices will be sent at the beginning of each term and are payable by return.
