Symphony Orchestra Course

Thursday 18 July – Tuesday 23 July 2024

A course which provides the opportunity for more advanced musicians to play in a full symphony orchestra.

Players benefit from expert tuition and guidance from professional orchestral players. The emphasis is on further development of technique and the musical interpretation of orchestral repertoire.

As well as classic repertoire for a Symphony Orchestra modern repertoire may also be studied to give players a variety of styles including music from shows or films.

The course culminates with a performance to family and friends in the impressive Benenden School Centenary Concert Hall.

All of our staff who work with children and young people have a current enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure & Barring Service and we run a programme of regular child protection training for our teachers.
