Wind Band Course

Thursday 15 July – Tuesday 20 July 2021

During this course woodwind, brass and percussion players will experience playing alongside others in a large ensemble under the expert guidance of wind band professionals.

During sectional and full rehearsals, players are introduced to a broad range of music including arrangements of well-known pieces and more traditional wind band repertoire. They have the opportunity to develop their technique and enhance their ensemble playing skills in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

All course members come together for vocal sessions; wind band and vocal items will be shared with family and friends at the end of course performance.

All of our staff who work with children and young people have a current enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure & Barring Service and we run a programme of regular child protection training for our teachers.

The course will end with a performance on Tuesday 20 July. However, it is with regret that we have decided not to allow audiences into the end-of-course performances at Summer School this year to limit the risk of potential transmission.

We look forward to welcoming audiences back for future KMSS performances!
