Friends of Medway Towns Music Centre deliver on tasty treats for NHS workers

Following the announcement that Kent Music’s popular Medway Towns Music Centre‘s weekly sessions would be suspended in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Friends of MTMC decided to end the term on a sweet note.

Members of the team arranged to collect all remaining stock from the centre’s tuck shop with the help of Fort Pitt school’s site manager before the school shut its doorsKaren Wilson, chair of the Friends, along with the other Friends, made the decision to donate the stock free of charge to Medway Hospital for any NHS workers to grab to keep up their energy during the current crisis!

We hope that the hard-working NHS staff enjoy the small contribution to their extraordinary efforts in keeping us safe at this time.

Kent Music would like to send a special thanks to all the Friends of Medway Towns Music Centre for this lovely gesture as well as the site team at Fort Pitt for their wonderful teamwork in making this happen. We hope all Medway Towns Music Centre members keep safe, keep informed, and keep making music until we can see you again!
