Kent County Choirs: Easter 2014
The Kent County Senior Choirs (Kent Youth Singers and Kent Youth Choir) attended their Easter residential course from 9 – 12th April 2014. The choirs sang varied repertoire from English romantic part songs to traditional Swahili music and were conducted by Ciara Considine and Benjamin Rous.
On Saturday 12 April, the senior choirs joined forces with the Kent Youth Wind Orchestra and our Junior Choirs to perform ‘The Burning of the Boats’ a piece composed and conducted by our guest director, David Burridge with libretto by Martin Riley. The concert took place at Colyer-Fergusson hall, a new state-of-the-art performance venue at the University of Kent in Canterbury.
