Kent Youth Wind Orchestra: Winter 2015
A Superb start to the 2015 -16 Season!
There was a great reception for the Kent Youth Wind Orchestra as they made a return visit to the east of the County to perform in the Nye Hall, Dover. The audience was treated to a varied programme of festive and non-festive music but as in previous KYWO Christmas concerts there was some audience participation encouraged!
The concert was the culmination of intensive sectional and full rehearsals over two weekends. Following auditions the group has welcomed a large number of new members performing with the group and they certainly rose to the occasion producing a superb concert.
The development in the space of two weekends was very impressive and has built solid foundations for the Season ahead.
The group can next be heard performing on the 2nd April in the impressive Colyer-Ferguson concert hall in Canterbury. The group on this occasion will repeat its great collaboration with the County Choirs with a programme for the whole family. As these concerts have been sold out on the last two occasions early booking is strongly advised to avoid disappointment.
