Kent Youth Wind Orchestra: Summer 2014
Kent Youth Wind Orchestra finished the 2013-14 Season in style with a programme including some of the ‘true greats’ for wind orchestra. KYWO performed to a capacity audience at Benenden School hall following another five day residential course including three days of sectional work, informal music making and improvisation sessions/workshops with Phil White from the Philharmonia Orchestra and full rehearsals conducted by the masterful Peter Lutkowski from the American School in London.
The wind orchestra is looking forward to an exciting 2014-15 Season including sharing its popular performances in a wider area of Kent including the superb Colyer Ferguson Concert Hall in Canterbury and a concert at the newly refurbished Nye Hall in Dover. There are a number of vacancies from September in the orchestra and interested players should register their interest via the KYWO website. Also keep an eye on the site for news of the exciting Season ahead – it promises to be another great one for this talented group of musicians!
