A generous donation from Terry for the next generation of musicians

We have been honoured to receive an extremely generous instrument donation recently. Terry, who sadly passed away in March 2021, was a Kent resident and music lover, and is passing on his legacy through a donation including guitars, violins and keyboards.

Terry’s wife, Tina, has kindly written about Terry, his life and love of music, as well as the donation, so that we can share his story.

Terry started his musical journey playing the violin in the school orchestra at The Skinners’ School in Tunbridge Wells.

He had a love of music and could play any instrument he turned his hand to. He played the guitar every day and it was his wish that his instruments were left to someone who would play and enjoy them.

He would love to think that his collection of guitars, violins and keyboards were going to inspire the next generation.

We are so grateful to Tina and her family for thinking of Kent Music to donate Terry’s instrument collection to. Terry’s instruments will be put to good use by the young musicians of Kent, and we cannot thank him enough for his generosity.
