CREATE Music Labs for pupils and their teachers

A  unique and exciting composition workshop will be delivered this Autumn/Winter by Kent Music in partnership with Soundhub.

Aimed at students in KS4, KS5 and their teachers the Music Lab will enable participants to work with professional musicians and composers. The Lab is designed to be suitable for students who have no experience in composition or to add a new dimension to those who already do have experience.  This composition master class will give participants the tools, skills and confidence to create new music independently.

We are delighted to invite class teachers to express their interest in the Music Lab by emailing create@kent-music.com or by phoning Sophie Plumb on 01622 358406.  Booking forms will be sent direct to schools in the next few weeks.

Canterbury Music Lab – SOLD OUT

Matthew King (lecturer in Composition at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama) will lead a Music Lab called Experimenting with Music for Small Ensemble.  The day will explore different creative composition techniques used for diverse and eclectic music ensembles. There will also be short “composition clinics” available during the lunch break for students and teachers.

We have been overwhelmed by the response for this Music Lab and subsequently all places have now SOLD OUT.  Keep an eye out over the next few weeks for details about our Music Labs in West Kent in February 2014 and Thanet in March 2014.
